Cases of cyclosporiasis, a nasty parasitic infection that causes “explosive” watery diarrhea, have sickened dozens of people in Michigan and other parts of the United States.

The majority of the cases are congregated in New York State — where there are between 31 and 80 cases — with many in Texas and Illinois, too.
