SEATTLE — In an extraordinary development on the eve of the U.S. men’s national team’s World Cup Round of 16 match against Belgium, Folarin Balogun’s red-card suspension has been suspended, per multiple reports.
The World Cup is trimming from 16 to eight. Teams are punching their tickets to the quarterfinals as the matchups get tighter with the level of quality also increasing. France and Morocco booked their respective spots first and will meet in a rematch of the 2022 semifinals.
